Jamie Dimon's Key Traits

These are four key traits Jamie Dimon evaluates when hiring a new employee:

-Curiosity
"Learning is our lifelong responsibility," Jamie told the audience. He seeks out people who demonstrate an intellectual curiosity about the bank, our customers and the world.

-People skills
The ability to relate to others is critical in any job, not just those that have customer contact.

-A Strong Work Ethic
"I didn’t come out of business school thinking I would work this hard," Jamie admitted. He cited the American military as an example of an organization with a strong work ethic. "Training is everything; everyone knows his or her jobs, and gives the maximum individual effort," he said.

-Character
"I don’t believe you can teach integrity, but there are ethical choices out there, and they’re yours to make," Jamie said
